The Seaweed Health Foundation is an independent not-for-profit organisation.

Through cooperation, research and information, we are increasing awareness and understanding of human food quality seaweed for food, health and body care.

We are owned by our members on an equal basis and work together to achieve our aim as a platform to represent the entire seaweed supply chain.

Founded in 2010 by Seagreens® the Foundation has grown to include our academic research partners, seaweed harvesters, processors, nutritionists, manufacturers, distributors, retailers and consumers with a special interest in these remarkable sea vegetables.

Management
The Seaweed Health Foundation is headed by Dr Craig Rose, as Executive Director.
Craig's background is with marine science. He has established and run marine related businesses, and been involved in marine research for the past 10 years. He has managed multi-million pound marine development projects, including a £3.7million algal biofuel project. He is a guest lecturer at Newcastle University, within the School of Marine Science and technology.
